Dunakanyar Glamping
More than four thousand square metres on the bank of the Danube, with distinctive units and a communal area. The shepherd's hut approach has taken over from the earlier bus-conversion idea.
The site makes the project. A Danube bank is an asset that cannot be built: a waterfront view together with access from Budapest within an hour is rare, and these two things determine what fits on the plot.
The original idea was based on converted buses. We moved away from that: the shepherd's hut approach took the project forward, because a shepherd's hut offers similar freedom of placement, but it is built from more durable materials, and in the guest's eyes it is accommodation, not a vehicle.
Four thousand square metres is too little for a large site, but just enough for a few distinctive units and a communal area to fit while leaving open riverbank. In this category density lowers the price, it does not raise the revenue.
The exact number and layout of the units depend on the building rules along the riverbank, and these have to be finalised on the basis of the guidance issued for the site.

The solutions shown here illustrate possible layouts. Siting, investment cost and expected operation depend on the specific location and technical scope. We calculate the figures for your own site, and we tell you which of them are estimates.
